Si Architectural Designers

Our small studio is at No 48 in Rajajinagar. It’s a nice enough spot in the 560010 area of Bangalore. We’ve been here at Si Architectural Designers for a good bit of time. The office is usually covered in sketches, rulers, and half-finished models. We don't really have a cleaning crew, so there’s usually a bit of dust on the shelves. It’s a working space, not a museum. We spend our days drawing up plans and trying to figure out how to fit everything into the spaces people have. Some designs take a long time to get right, and we end up arguing over where a wall should go. It’s all part of the process. We aren't a massive firm with hundreds of employees. It’s just a handful of us who like designing buildings. We get our coffee from the place around the corner. The light in the office is pretty good in the morning, which helps when we are working on fine details. We don't have any fancy awards on the wall, just the work we’ve done for local people. It’s a straightforward life. We listen to what people want, draw it out, and then help them get it built. Rajajinagar is a busy place, but once we’re inside working, it’s quiet enough. We just focus on the drawings and try to do right by the folks who hire us. It keeps us busy enough.
