Shyam Paints & Ceramics

Our shop, Shyam Paints & Ceramics, is tucked away in Vidyaranyapura. We are on 6th Main, specifically at the 11th Cross in the 2nd Phase. If you know the Hosakere Halli area, we aren't too far from there either. The shelves are packed with cans and tiles. Sometimes it's hard to find a specific shade of blue because we have so many boxes stacked up in the aisles. We try to keep it tidy but when a big shipment comes in, things get a bit cluttered for a few days. My brother helps out on the weekends when it gets busy with people off work. We see a lot of people coming in who are trying to fix up their old houses. They usually have a bit of paint on their clothes already when they arrive. We talk about the weather or the local news while they look through the various catalogs. The light in the shop isn't great in the back corner, so we often take samples out to the front door to see the real color in the natural sun. It’s a simple life running a hardware and paint store. You get to know what people like and what they don't over the years. We’ve had this place for a long time. The floor is stained with a few different colors from spills over the decades. It gives the place a bit of character. We don't have a website, just the shop and the people who walk in.
