Shiva Shakthi Tyres

Our shop is right by Minerva Circle, so it’s always loud with all the cars going towards Lalbagh West. We’ve got tyres stacked up everywhere. Honestly, it’s a bit of a mess sometimes because the space is tight. You can smell the rubber as soon as you walk in. We spend most of our time out on the pavement changing wheels or checking air. My hands are usually covered in black soot by lunchtime. It’s a small place at 116/4, tucked in there among the other shops. People stop by because they’ve got a puncture or their treads are getting smooth. We don’t do anything fancy, just the basic work that needs doing. The traffic at the circle can be a nightmare in the evenings. Sometimes customers have to wait a bit because we’re short-handed, but we get to everyone eventually. We keep a few different brands in the back, whatever we can fit on the racks. It gets hot in the afternoons with the sun hitting the front of the shop. We usually have the radio playing in the corner to drown out the horns. It’s just us doing our job day after day. If you’re coming from the circle, we’re easy to spot with the old tyres sitting out front. We aren't looking to grow into some huge chain, we just like running our little corner here. It's been our way of life for years now.
