Shilanyas

We are located in Basavanagudi on PT Street at number 41500. It’s an interesting part of town with a lot of history. Our office at Shilanyas is a bit of a mix of things. We have drawing boards and some newer computers, but we still like using pencils for the initial ideas. It’s just easier to change things on paper. The street outside can get pretty noisy with all the traffic but once you’re inside, it’s mostly just the sound of people working. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably just talk to whoever is closest to the door. We handle a lot of the day-to-day stuff ourselves, from answering the phone to going out and checking on the masonry work. Basavanagudi is a great place for this kind of work because there are so many different types of buildings around us. We get a lot of inspiration just walking to get lunch. Our desks are usually covered in blueprints and half-empty cups of tea. It’s not a polished environment but it’s where we get things done. We focus on the practical side of things, making sure the structures are solid and the spaces are usable. We’ve been at 41500 for a good stretch now. Most of our days are spent coordinating between clients and the guys doing the actual labor on-site. It’s a lot of back and forth between the office and the building locations. We like the work though.
