Our office is up on the first floor in Sahakara Nagar, right in E Block at number 2576. Shell Architects And Interior Designers LLP is really just a group of us who enjoy figuring out how a room should look and function. We spend a lot of time looking at floor plans and picking out tiles that won't look dated in two years. It is not always glamorous work. Most days involve arguing over where a light switch should go or if a cupboard door is going to hit the ceiling fan. We do both the architectural side and the inside stuff because it usually works better when one group handles it all. We have seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over the years. Some people want very modern styles while others just want a kitchen that actually has enough storage for their pots and pans. We don't have a signature style or anything like that. We just look at what the space allows and try to make it work. It is about making a house feel like someone actually lives there, not like a museum. We have samples of wood and fabric piled up everywhere in the office. It is a bit of a mess sometimes, but we know where everything is. We just focus on getting the drawings right and making sure the carpenters understand exactly what we want. It keeps us busy from morning until late evening.
