About Sharmas Institute Of Finearts – Education in Bengaluru
If you go down Dhole Patil Road in Camp 117, you’ll find us at Vasanth Nagar 6. Sharmas Institute Of Finearts is where we spend most of our days. It’s not a huge place, just a few rooms where we keep our art supplies and easels. We’ve been at this address for a bit, and we’ve gotten used to the noise from the street. The building is older, but it works for what we do. We mostly just teach people how to draw and paint without making it too complicated. It’s not some high-end gallery; it’s more of a workshop where you can get your hands dirty with charcoal or clay. Usually, there’s a tea kettle going in the back and a few half-finished paintings leaning against the walls. We don't really have a front desk person, so someone usually just looks up from their work when a person walks in. Camp 117 is a busy area, so there’s always something happening outside, but inside we just try to keep it simple. We didn't want a shiny corporate look, so we just kept the walls plain and focused on the art stuff. It’s a bit crowded sometimes when everyone shows up at once, but we manage to find space for everyone’s canvas. It’s just a local place for folks who want to try making something with their own hands.
