Sharada Eye Clinic

Sharada Eye Clinic is tucked away in Remco Layout, specifically in the 2nd Stage area of Vijaya Nagar. It’s a quiet enough street compared to the main roads around here. The clinic isn't very large, but it's where we spend our whole day. We mostly see neighbors from the layout who need their vision checked or maybe got something in their eye. The 16 number building is easy to find once you are on the right street. We usually start the day by cleaning the equipment and making sure everything is where it should be. Sometimes the power goes out in this part of Vijaya Nagar, so we just wait it out or use the backup. It’s a simple setup. We have the charts on the wall and the chairs for patients to sit in. There’s no big reception desk or anything like that, just a desk where we keep the records and talk to people. People often stop by just to ask directions because they get lost in the layout stages. We don't mind. It’s nice being part of the local community here. We see a lot of elderly folks from the nearby houses who have lived in Vijaya Nagar for decades. It feels like a small town even though it’s part of the city. We just keep things running one day at a time, checking eyes and helping people see a bit better.
