Down here in Kerala, in the Calicut area, we have our setup at Cheruvalath House. It’s in Kakkur, near Nanminda. It’s a lot greener and quieter than our offices in the big cities. Sometimes the rain is so heavy you can barely hear yourself talk inside. We aren't in a big commercial plaza; it’s more of a local house converted into a workspace. It feels very grounded and part of the community. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages. We deal with the local logistics and the site management for this region. It’s a different pace of life. You won't find any glass elevators or air-conditioned lobbies here. It’s mostly wooden desks and the smell of the outdoors. We keep track of the projects across the 673619 pin code area. It’s a lot of coordination over the phone and meeting people in person. We don't use big words or fancy presentations. We just tell it like it is. If there’s a delay because of the monsoon, we say so. It’s an honest way to work. We’ve become a part of the Kakkur landscape over the years. It’s just us, the local staff, making sure the construction work in Kerala stays on track without any unnecessary drama. There are many days where we just sit and plan while looking out at the coconut trees. It is a humble place for a big company.
