Shanthi Wood Works

Shanthi Wood Works is over in Govindraj Nagar on Magadi Main Road, at 86/1. You’ll hear us before you see us most days because the saws are usually running. We are a wood shop through and through. The floor is always covered in a bit of sawdust, no matter how much we sweep. We make a lot of doors, window frames, and custom cupboards. It’s a noisy, busy place where we are always measuring twice and cutting once. We have piles of timber stacked up in the corner, seasoned and ready. It’s not a polished showroom; it’s a workshop where things get built. People come to us with drawings on scraps of paper or just an idea in their head for a bookshelf. We sit down and figure out the dimensions together. Sometimes the wood has knots we have to work around, or a piece of equipment needs a bit of oiling to run smooth. It’s honest labor. We don’t have a sales team. We just have the guys who do the actual woodwork. We’ve been at this address for a long time now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. But inside the shop, it’s still the same old smell of fresh wood and the sound of hammers. We just keep building things one at a time. The radio in the back is usually on a news station.
