Shanthi Nivas Serviced Apartments

At Shanthi Nivas Serviced Apartments, we’ve got a small operation going on Sus Road 461 in Jayanagar. It’s a residential area, so it’s mostly families living around us. We try to be good neighbors and keep the noise down. My wife handles the bookings and I do the maintenance work around the property. We have a few rooms that we rent out by the day or week. They aren't fancy, but we make sure the sheets are fresh and the floors are swept. Sometimes the garden in the front gets a bit overgrown because I don't always have time to trim the hedges. We use old-fashioned keys instead of those plastic cards because they’re easier to replace if someone loses one. There’s a small grocery store just down the street where our guests usually go for bread and milk. We don't provide breakfast or anything, but every room has a little stove. It’s been our family business for about five years. We’ve had all sorts of people stay with us, from students to elderly couples. We try to keep things simple and honest. If something breaks, we fix it as fast as we can. It’s not a big corporate chain, just us trying to make a living and providing a place for people to rest. Sometimes the cat from next door comes over and sits on the stairs, which our guests seem to like.
