Shalivahan Gardens

Shalivahan Gardens is located out on Handewadi Road at number 719, in the Sahakarnagar and Sayyad Nagar area. It is a bit of a trek to get out here depending on where you are coming from. The road can be quite busy with trucks and bikes, but our spot at 719 has a bit of space to it. Being in the Sahakarnagar vicinity, there are more houses around than in the city center. We spend a lot of time outside or near the entrance because of the way the property is set up. There is a lot of dust from the road that blows in, so we are always cleaning up the porch area. It is a large plot and sometimes it feels a bit empty when there aren't many people around. We have a small building where we keep our tools and paperwork. It’s nothing fancy, just some brick and mortar with a tin roof in some parts. The sun gets really hot in the middle of the day, so we usually take a long break when it’s at its peak. We have some trees that provide a little bit of shade, which is nice. Most of our neighbors are other small businesses or families. We’ve been here on Handewadi Road for a long time and have gotten used to the pace of life in this part of town.
