Shakti Chemical

Shakti Chemical is out in the Bommasandra Industrial Area. It’s a long drive for most of us, but this is where the work is. The area is full of factories and big trucks moving in and out all day. Our building is a sturdy one, built to handle the chemicals we work with. It smells a bit like sulfur or cleaning agents depending on the day. We don't have a front desk person or a shiny lobby. You just walk in and find someone in the back. We spend most of our time monitoring the batches and checking the drums. It’s hard work and the air can get quite heavy when it’s humid. We eat our lunch together in the small break room. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go in Bommasandra, but Shakti Chemical has stayed put. The road outside gets pretty bad during the monsoon, with big puddles everywhere. We just wear our boots and get on with it. It’s a practical business for practical people. We don't spend money on fancy signs or expensive furniture. Everything we have is for making the work happen. It’s loud, it’s industrial, and it’s home for us for eight hours a day. We keep the machines running and the orders filled as best as we can. There is always a lot to clean up at the end of every shift.
