Shakeela Haneef Architect

I’ve been working out of this spot in Jayanagar for a while now. It’s right on 1st Main, the 4th Cross area. Most days I’m just buried in drawings or talking to builders about how to get things to line up right. The office is in the 3rd Block E, specifically R B Extension 95. People usually find it okay if they know the neighborhood well. It isn't a huge firm or anything fancy. It's just me and sometimes a couple of helpers trying to figure out how to make spaces work better for folks around here. We deal with a lot of house plans and renovations. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. I like being tucked away in this part of town because it’s quiet enough to actually think. Jayanagar has changed a lot over the years but this corner feels pretty steady. We don't really do big advertisements. Most of the work comes from someone telling their neighbor about us. I spend a lot of time on site making sure the walls are going up where they are supposed to. Architecture is mostly just solving a lot of small problems one after another until a building stands up. If you're walking by 4th Cross, you might see me shuffling papers. It's a busy life but I wouldn't know what else to do with my time really. Just trying to keep things simple and functional for everyone.
