You can find Sha Vasthimal Bhanji & Co. over at 154/55 on A S Char Street. This is an old part of the city and the streets are very narrow. It’s always crowded with people and carts moving goods back and forth. Our shop has been here for a very long time and it has that old-fashioned feel to it. The wooden counters are worn down from years of use and the shelves are packed with all sorts of things. We don't have any bright lights or modern displays. It’s just the same as it has been for decades. We spend our days talking to the regular customers who have been coming to us for years. A S Char Street is a very busy place and there is always something happening outside our door. We know all the other shopkeepers on the block and we often share a cup of tea in the afternoon. It’s a bit dusty and the space is tight but it’s where we feel at home. We don’t use any fancy marketing tricks or try to be something we aren’t. We just sell what people need and keep our accounts in order. It’s a traditional way of doing business and we think it works just fine for us and our customers. We are here every day from morning until the sun goes down. We shut the doors late in the evening and walk home through the same busy streets.
