We’re located in Chickpet, right on D S Lane. If you find the residential place across the way, you’ve found us. The name on the board is a bit long, but people just call us by the short version mostly. It’s a very old area of Bangalore, and our building has seen a lot of years. The stairs are a bit steep and the hallways are narrow, which is just how these old Chickpet buildings are built. We have a lot of stuff piled up inside, mostly because we need to keep everything on hand. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy carpets or soft lighting. We just have basic bulbs and wooden counters that have been here for as long as I can remember. The street outside is always full of people and people pushing carts. It can be quite a headache to get goods in and out, but we manage. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we have a routine that works. We start early and stay late, often having our lunch right there at the desk because it’s too busy to leave. We don't spend money on ads or anything like that. If people need us, they know where the lane is. It’s a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the crowds, but it’s home for the business. There is always someone shouting outside, but you get used to the noise.
