Sethia Appliances (P) Limited

Our workshop is located right in the middle of the Nacharam Industrial Development Area. It’s a really busy spot with lots of other factories and trucks constantly blocking the narrow roads. We spend the whole day working on different home appliances like fans and kitchen tools. There is always a faint smell of burnt metal and sometimes melted plastic in the air when the machines are running hard. The shed we work in is fairly big but it fills up fast with spare parts and finished boxes waiting to be loaded onto the delivery trucks. Some of the machines are getting old now but they still work perfectly fine if you know how to handle their quirks. We have a small office tucked away in one corner where we keep the books and take customer calls on a landline that rings all the time. The floor stays dusty no matter how much we sweep it at the end of the shift, that’s just the reality of life in an industrial area like this. People come and go through the gate all day, mostly delivery drivers or guys looking for work. We try to keep things organized but when a big shipment comes in, the whole place looks like a complete mess for a few days. Lunch breaks are usually taken sitting on the wooden crates or at the small plastic table near the big fan. It gets very loud when every machine is running at once.
