Senior Site Engg.

I spend my days at 3810, 6th Cross, 2nd Stage, B Block in Gayatri Nagar. I’m a senior site engineer here in Bangalore. The city is always building something new, and I’m usually right in the middle of it. Gayatri Nagar is a bit of an older area, but there is still plenty of work to do. My job involves a lot of standing around on dusty sites and looking at blueprints that are starting to curl at the edges. I’ve been a site engineer for years, and being a senior means I have to watch over the younger guys too. 560021 is our PIN code. The office is really just a place to store our tools and some files. Most of the real work happens outside. I like the 6th Cross area because there are some good places to get lunch. The weather in Bangalore is usually okay, but the dust on the sites can be a bit much. I don’t wear a suit to work. I wear heavy boots and clothes that I don’t mind getting dirty. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just build things and make sure they don't fall down. It’s a simple, honest job. Gayatri Nagar is a solid place to be based, and the neighbors are mostly used to the sound of construction by now. I just try to do my job right and go home.
