We are located at Whitefield 120-P, A 3, which is basically in the middle of all the big glass buildings and IT offices. People always ask what the secret recipe is, but to be honest, it’s just stuff my grandmother used to do in her own kitchen. There’s no magic ingredient. We just don't take shortcuts with the spices. The morning rush is the hardest part. You have hundreds of people who only have thirty minutes for lunch, and they are all stressed. We try to get the food out fast, but sometimes the stove doesn't cooperate or we run out of fresh ginger. It’s a real kitchen with real problems. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person writing things for us. I’m usually the one checking the vegetable delivery at 6 AM to make sure the tomatoes aren't squashed. Whitefield is a dusty place with a lot of construction, so we spend half our time dusting the tables and windows. It’s constant work. We don't talk about being the best or anything like that. We just want to make sure the food tastes like actual food and not something out of a frozen box. It’s a small space, it gets a bit cramped when the weather is hot, but we make it work. We are just a group of people cooking for the neighborhood and trying to stay sane.
