Working at Sealed Air India Private Limited in the Peenya Industrial Area is an experience. If you have ever been to the 3rd Phase, you know the sound of machinery is everywhere. We are over at 245 on 8th Main. It is a big industrial zone, so there is always a truck or a tempo blocking the road somewhere. Our building is practical. It is built for work, not for looking pretty. We deal with a lot of packaging and sealing stuff, so there is always that specific smell of plastic or materials in the air. The staff here has been around for a long time. We know the 8th Main like the back of our hands. Lunchtime is usually when we all head out to the local mess or just sit in the breakroom and complain about the traffic on the way in. Peenya is a tough place to navigate if you are not used to it, but we have got our routine down. We don’t really bother with fancy meetings or long speeches. It is more about getting the machines running and making sure the output is right. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but nobody really has the time to worry about that. We are just busy keeping things moving. It is a grit-and-grind type of place. Some people might find it boring, but for us, it is just a steady job in a busy part of the city.
