Sapthagiri Camphor Ltd.

Our place is on the 5th Cross, 2nd Main in Chamaraj Pet. It is a nice neighborhood with a lot of old trees and houses. Sapthagiri Camphor Ltd. is located at Plot No-51/1, and you can usually smell the camphor before you even see the sign. It is a very distinct scent that stays with you all day. We have been working here for quite a while, and the locals all know us by the smell. The building is simple and we try to keep it as clean as we can, though camphor dust gets everywhere. We have a few machines that run most of the day, making that steady clicking sound. It is not a massive factory, just a comfortable size for us to manage. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the blocks and packing them into boxes. The staff here are mostly local people who walk to work. We do not have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to make sure the product is good and that our customers are happy to come back. Sometimes we sit out on the steps during the lunch break and watch the traffic go by on the main road. It is a steady, predictable kind of work that we have grown to enjoy over the years without much fuss.
