If you come down to G.I.D.C. in Vatwa, you’ll find us at A-2/19, Phase Ii. It’s a typical industrial spot, lots of trucks and noise all around. Sapphire Pigments Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this unit for a good bit of time. Working with pigments means things can get a little messy. You might see some color on our clothes or the floor, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We spend most of our time mixing and checking batches. It’s a lot of standing around and watching the machines run. The heat in Vatwa can get pretty intense in the summer, especially inside the plant. We have a small office tucked away where we keep the records and handle the paperwork. It’s not very fancy, just some desks and a few old filing cabinets that have seen better days. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get the orders filled and make sure the colors come out right. Most of the guys here have been with us for years, so we all know the routine by heart. We take our lunch breaks together when the machines are cycling. It’s honest work. Sometimes things go wrong, like a pump breaks or a shipment is late, but we just deal with it and move on to the next day.
