If you head over to Basavangudi and look for Dattartreya Road, you’ll find Samtec Trading India Pvt Ltd at number 11. We are up on the second floor, which keeps us a little bit away from the street noise. Basavangudi is one of those older parts of town with a lot of character and big trees, so the walk to the office is actually quite nice. Our space is more of a trading office than a factory. It’s mostly desks, computers, and shelves filled with catalogs and samples of electronic parts. Since we are on the second floor, we have a view of the street below where people are going about their day. It’s a relatively small team here, so the vibe is pretty quiet and focused. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sending emails to coordinate things. There’s usually a pot of tea or coffee going in the small pantry area. We don't have a big sign outside or any flashy branding in the hallway. It’s just a simple door with our name on it. Most of our work is about connecting people with the parts they need, so it’s a lot of logistical thinking and checking stock lists. The office is a bit cluttered with paperwork and boxes of samples, but that’s just how we work. It’s a comfortable enough spot, and being in a residential-commercial mix area means there are plenty of good places to grab lunch nearby.
