Our office for Samsara Shipping is tucked away at number 37 on 5th Cross in the Narayanappa Block. We are right in the heart of Benson Town here in Bangalore. It’s actually a bit of a quieter spot compared to the main roads, which we usually appreciate when things get busy inside. The building is an older one, and we’ve been using this space for a long time to manage our shipping operations. Shipping is a complicated business with lots of moving parts, but our actual daily life is mostly spent at our desks or talking to folks at the port. We have maps on the walls and plenty of filing cabinets that have seen better days. The team here is small, and we’ve all known each other for quite a while, so we don't really bother with being formal or anything like that. We just come in, get the coffee started, and start looking at the schedules. Sometimes the rain in Bangalore makes things a bit slow, especially when the roads flood near the block, but we manage to stay on top of things. It’s a lot of back-and-forth emails and checking on containers that are halfway across the ocean. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist, you just walk in and one of us will probably look up from a screen to see what you need. It’s just how we do things here, day in and day out, without any big fuss.
