Samrudh Architects

We are over in Btm Layout 2nd Stage, specifically in the Mico Layout area on 7th Cross, 1st Main. Samrudh Architects has been based here for a bit, and we’ve seen BTM change a lot over the years. Our office isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a regular place where we do our drafting and meetings. Inside, it’s mostly computers, desks, and a lot of half-finished drawings. We aren't a high-pressure firm; we just take on a few projects at a time so we can actually focus on them. Most of our work comes from people nearby who have seen some of the houses we’ve worked on. We spend a lot of time discussing things like where the light comes in or how to make a staircase comfortable. It’s simple stuff but it matters when you’re the one living there. Sometimes the power goes out and we all have to take a break until the generator kicks in or the lights come back on. We usually have lunch together and talk about things other than architecture just to clear our heads. It’s a small, friendly group of people here. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. We just show up, do the work, and try to make sure the buildings we design are solid and useful. It isn't always exciting, and there is a lot of paperwork involved, but we like the routine of it all.
