We are based out of the Barton Centre in Bangalore, specifically in room 208. It’s right on MG Road, so the traffic is always a mess and it takes forever to get anywhere, but it’s a good central spot for us. The building is one of those older ones that has been around forever. We do building work, mostly small projects around the city. Our office is pretty small, just a couple of desks and a lot of rolled-up blueprints lying around. There’s usually dust on the floor from someone coming back from a site. Bangalore has changed so much since we started, with all these new high-rises going up everywhere. We just focus on our own small part of it. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to contractors or waiting for materials to arrive. The elevator in Barton Centre can be slow during lunch hour, so we usually just walk or wait it out. We aren't a huge firm with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us trying to get things built right. We don't have any fancy brochures or a front desk person. If the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. It’s been like this for years, and we’ve gotten used to the noise of the city right outside our window. It's not exactly the kind of place you would see in a movie.
