Sai Chethana

Sai Chethana is located on the Arekere Main Road, just off the busy Banneraghatta Road. If you know Bangalore, you know how the traffic is on Banneraghatta. It’s constant. Our shop is right there in the middle of it all. We open up early and usually stay until the streetlights come on. The shop is a place where we keep various items, and it feels a bit like a second home because we spend so much time here. The walls are a bit plain, and we have a few old fans that click while they spin. It isn't a silent place; you can always hear the buses and horns from the main road. We keep things pretty simple. There is a table where we sit, a shelf for the files, and whatever stock we are currently handling. We talk to the people who walk in, mostly folks from the apartments nearby in Arekere. We’ve seen the kids in the neighborhood grow up over the years. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local spot where people can get what they need. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk among ourselves, and other days we don't even have time to eat lunch. It’s just the normal way a small business runs in a busy area like this. We do what we have to do.
