If you head down Prakash Nagar Main Road, you will find us at 1157/7/2. We deal with tiles and all kinds of ceramic items. The shop is usually full of boxes stacked high. It’s a bit cramped because we try to keep a lot of variety on hand. Customers come in wanting one thing and then see another color and change their minds three times. We don't mind, it's part of the trade. Moving these tiles is heavy work. You have to be careful not to chip the edges. My back usually aches by the end of the week from helping the boys load the trucks. We’ve seen trends change over the years. People used to want small plain tiles, now everyone wants these big marble-look ones. We just stock what people ask for. The dust from the road comes in sometimes, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the displays to keep them looking decent. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We know the other shop owners on the street. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall nearby while waiting for a delivery. It's a simple life, really. We open early because the contractors like to pick up stuff before they head to their sites. There's no big secret to what we do. We just sell ceramics and try to stay organized in the middle of all the boxes and samples. It gets hectic every day, but we manage to stay on top of it.
