You can find Sagar Auto Electricals over in BTM Layout Sarangpur at number 119. It’s a working shop, so don't expect it to be clean or quiet. We handle a lot of electrical work for cars and bikes. There are wires hanging from the ceiling and old batteries stacked in the corners. The floor is mostly stained with oil and grease that won't ever come out. I spend most of my day leaning over engines with a flashlight in my mouth. It’s hot work, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the shop. We have a few old stools for when we want to sit down, but they’re usually covered in tools. The neighbors are mostly other mechanics or small shops, so we help each other out with tools sometimes. The building is quite old and the roof is made of tin, so it’s very loud when it rains. We don't have any office staff or fancy uniforms. We just wear old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. People bring their vehicles here because they know we’ve been doing this for a long time. It’s a lot of troubleshooting and testing circuits. Sometimes we find a nest of wires that someone else messed up and we have to start from scratch. It’s satisfying when the lights finally flicker on. We stay busy enough to keep the doors open and the tea coming.
