Safety In Construction

I deal with safety in construction and I’m based out here in Kerala. It is a busy place to be because there are always new homes and shops being built no matter which town you are in. I don’t really have a main office that people visit, I mostly just go from one site to another across the state. The weather here is the biggest thing you have to watch out for. When the monsoon hits, everything gets slippery and dangerous, so I have to be extra careful with the workers. I’ve been doing this kind of work for many years. It started out as just a way to pay the bills, but now I know the ins and outs of every construction site. I don’t use fancy marketing or try to sound like a big company. I’m just one guy with a lot of experience. I walk around the sites, look at the scaffolding, check the wiring, and make sure everyone is wearing what they should. Some days are long and involve a lot of driving on the narrow roads we have here. It can be tiring, but I like being my own boss. I speak to the workers in plain language so they actually understand the risks. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living. I don't have a mission statement or anything like that. I just want everyone to go home safe at the end of the day. That is really the only thing that matters in this line of work.
