About Safety Engineer – Metals & Minerals in Bengaluru
I've been working as a safety engineer here in Orlim for a while now. My setup is right across from the post office at Gonto Naik Waddo. It’s a quiet spot in Salcete, but the work keeps me busy enough. Manohar Arolkar’s place is where you’ll find me. Most days I’m out looking at sites, making sure things aren't going to fall down or catch fire. Goa has its own way of doing things, and you have to know the local pace. I don't have a big office with fancy chairs or anything like that. It’s just me and my gear. People around here know where to find me if they need someone to look over a project. Sometimes the rain makes travel a bit of a pain, especially when I have to head out further into the district. I grew up around here, so I know the roads and the people pretty well. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what I do. I spend a lot of time checking railings, looking at electrical wires, and telling people to wear their boots. Some guys listen, some don’t, but I keep at it anyway. The sun gets hot in the afternoon, so I usually try to get the site visits done early. After that, I’m back at the house near the post office doing paperwork. It’s a simple life, really. I just take things as they come and do my best to keep the sites safe without any fuss or bother. It works for me.
