S S Tools

S S Tools is tucked away at P/6/240 in the 2nd Stage of the Peenya Industrial Area. We are pretty close to the Butter Canteen, which is where most of us go for a quick snack or tea during the day. Our workshop isn't very large, but we’ve crammed a lot of equipment into it over the years. We handle tool making and various machining jobs. It’s a loud place with the sound of grinding and cutting going on for most of the daylight hours. We usually have grease on our hands and dust on our clothes by noon. It’s a tough environment, but we’re used to it. People from the nearby factories often drop in when they need something fixed fast. We don't do much advertising; we mostly just rely on the fact that we’ve been here for a while and people know we can handle the work. Sometimes we stay late to finish an order, and the walk back to the main road is quiet then. We don't have any big speeches about our work. We just take the metal, follow the drawings, and hope the customer is happy with what they get. It’s a small shop life. We know the other guys in the area, and we help each other out when someone is short on a specific tool or material. That’s how we survive in Peenya. It is not always easy, but it is what we know how to do.
