If you know Commercial Street, you know how crowded it gets, especially near the Westside showroom. Our shop, S Mohammed Ismail & Co, is located at 108/109 on Dickenson Road, right in the middle of all that noise and energy. It's an old building, nothing too modern or flashy about it. We’ve been operating from this spot for years, dealing with whatever customers need when they wander in from the main road. The stairs might creak a bit, and the shelves are packed high with stock, but it works for us. Usually, it's just a few of us running around, checking inventory or talking to regulars who have been coming here since they were kids. We don't do the whole corporate thing with fancy slogans. We just open the doors in the morning and start the day. Some days are quiet, while others are so busy you can barely move between the aisles. It's a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and writing out receipts by hand sometimes. Being near such a big landmark like Westside helps people find us, though parking is always a nightmare around here. We don't mind the chaos of the market. It's part of why we like being on Dickenson Road. You see all sorts of people walking by. We just keep things simple, sell what we have, and try to help anyone who walks through the door looking for something specific.
