S L N Teachers Training Institute

We have the S L N Teachers Training Institute set up near the Fort on Narasimharaja Road. It's an old building, so the rooms are a bit high and the floors are made of cold stone. We spend our days working with people who want to become teachers in the local schools. There is a lot of reading involved and practicing how to manage a classroom full of kids. It isn't a high-tech place with computers everywhere. We use chalkboards mostly, and the wooden desks have seen a lot of use over the years. Being in the Fort area means there is always a lot of history right outside our doors, which is nice for the students when they take breaks. We have a small library that is a bit disorganized, but the books are all there if you take the time to look. Usually, the hallway is full of students talking about their upcoming exams or the schools where they hope to work one day. We don't have a big fancy website or a marketing team to tell people what we do. People usually find us by word of mouth or because they live nearby on Narasimharaja Road. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we keep the big windows open to catch any breeze. You can hear the city noise coming in while we talk about lesson plans. It is just a place where people come to learn a profession they care about.
