S L Murthy & Co

S L Murthy & Co is based at 115 Seshadripuram, specifically on Street Number 3 in New Amar Nagar. We are up on the first floor of the building. It’s an older part of Seshadripuram, and the building has that classic look with thick walls and wooden window frames. Our office is filled with rows of metal cupboards where we store all our files. There is a certain smell to the place, like old paper and ink, which I’ve grown to like. We have several big tables where we spread out documents to go through them. It’s a quiet kind of work, mostly. You can hear the sounds of the street below, people shouting or the occasional scooter horn, but inside it’s pretty calm. We have a small balcony where we sometimes stand to get some air. The view isn't much, just the street and the building across from us. New Amar Nagar has seen a lot of changes over the years, with new shops opening up, but our little corner remains mostly the same. We have a very old clock on the wall that chimed every hour until it broke last year. Now it just sits there. Most of our day is spent reading and writing things down. We don’t have any fancy coffee machines, just a simple stove to boil water for tea. It’s a plain office for plain work, and that suits us just fine.
