S. K. Printers

Our shop, S. K. Printers, is at No 20 in Maruthi Nagar, Basavanagar. We are located in the Pearl Nest building, which is quite near the I O B bank. If you find the bank, you’re basically there. The shop is usually filled with the smell of ink and the sound of machines running. It can get a bit loud in here when we have a big job going, but we’re used to it. We have paper stacks almost everywhere you look, which we try to keep organized, but it’s a constant battle. It’s a small team of us working here. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and we know most of the people who walk past our door. We don't have a glossy showroom or anything like that. It’s a workshop first and foremost. People come in with their files or ideas, and we see what we can do on our machines. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the morning fixing them, which is just part of the job. We grab coffee from the place next door when we need a break from the noise. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t make big promises, we just try to get the prints done and handed over to people when they need them. It’s a bit messy and loud, but it’s our space and we’ve grown fond of the chaos. Even the humming of the old printer feels like a normal part of our day now.
