S G Metal Craft is tucked away West of Chord Road at number 573. It’s a decent area, though finding a parking spot can be a real pain some mornings. We have been working with metal for quite some time now. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a place with tools and materials stacked up where they fit. We spend a lot of time measuring and cutting things. It gets noisy, naturally. Most of us have been doing this for years, so we don't think much about the sparks or the heavy lifting anymore. It’s just what we do. The 573 address has become home base for us. We know the other shop owners on this stretch of Chord Road. Sometimes we help each other out if someone’s short a tool or needs a hand with something heavy. There isn't a PR team here or anyone to write fancy letters. We just answer the phone and do the work. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by noon, and we sweep it up before heading home. It's a simple rhythm. We aren't looking to expand into some massive corporation; we like the size we are. It keeps things manageable and we know exactly what’s happening on every bench. Some days the heat in the shop is a lot, but we keep the fans going and get through it. It's just us at the shop.
