Run Express

If you are looking for 521 Avenue Road, you just have to find Kamala Bakery first. We are right above it, so the smell of fresh bread and biscuits usually drifts up into our office all morning. It’s a bit of a distraction when you’re hungry, honestly. Run Express is tucked away on C G Road, and it’s a busy little spot. We have people coming in and out with parcels and envelopes all day long. The stairs can be a bit steep if you’re carrying something heavy, but that’s just how these old buildings are. Avenue Road is always packed with people and carts, so getting things in and out takes some patience. We don't have much in the way of decor, just some counters and a lot of space for packages to sit before they go out. The fans hum all day to keep the heat off, but it still gets warm when the sun hits the front of the building. Most of us have been working here long enough to know the regular delivery guys by name. It’s a simple operation, nothing too complicated about it. We just take the items, write down the details, and move them along to the next stop. Sometimes the computers act up or the printer jams, but we just fix it and keep going. It’s a loud, busy, and sometimes messy place, but it works for us.
