Ruby General Electricals & Trading Co

My uncle started Ruby General Electricals & Trading Co a long time ago. We are right here on Lalbagh Road at K-172. If you walk past the old buildings, you will see our sign. It is a bit dusty because of the road work that never seems to end, but the lights are always on inside. We keep a lot of stuff in the back rooms. There are wires, different kinds of switches, and those tiny little fuses that are hard to find. Most people come in because something in their house stopped working and they need a specific part. We don't have a fancy computer system to track everything, so sometimes we have to go looking through the boxes for a few minutes. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially when the fans are packed away. We spend most of our day talking to electricians and guys who do house wiring. It is a busy spot on Lalbagh Road. Sometimes we sit outside on the stools when it is quiet. The shop isn't very large, but we try to keep it organized enough so we know where the light bulbs are. It’s just how things go here. We open early and stay until the sun goes down. Most of the neighbors know us by name now. It’s a simple life selling electrical bits and pieces. We see a lot of people every day, all looking for something to fix their home. We have a little radio that plays the news while we wait for the next person to come in.
