Roopa Architects

Roopa Architects is tucked away in R R Nagar, over at Shivananda Circle. The address is 482, Sai Kripa, on the 1St Cross of the 18Th Main in Ideal Home Township. It is a bit of a mouthful to say, but it is a good location. The township is usually pretty peaceful, which is great for sitting down and getting through a pile of drawings. The office is in a residential-style building, so it feels more like a home than a sterile workplace. We have a few desks set up and some shelves that are overflowing with samples of tiles and bricks. The 1St Cross is a familiar spot for us now. We see the same people walking their dogs or heading to the shops every day. Inside Sai Kripa, the rooms are filled with the sound of keyboards and the occasional printer running a large format plan. We do not have a big lobby or anything like that. When someone visits, we usually just clear off a corner of the main table so we can look at the prints together. It is a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. The fans keep things cool enough in the summer heat. It is just a regular group of people doing architectural work in a neighborhood we have grown quite fond of over the years. We spend a lot of time checking local regulations and making sure things line up. It is mostly just drawing and calculating all day long.
