Sree Sharadha Book House

Sree Sharadha Book House is located right on the Ring Road, just opposite the Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology. Since we’re across from the college, we see a lot of students coming in and out all day. The shop is filled with shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We have books on just about everything, but mostly it’s the stuff the students need for their classes. It’s often quite cramped in here because we keep adding more stacks whenever a new shipment arrives. Sometimes you have to turn sideways to get through the aisles. The noise from the Ring Road traffic is constant, but we’ve stopped noticing it after all these years. We don't have a computer system to track everything; we mostly just know where things are by memory. If someone asks for a specific textbook, we usually know which pile it's buried under. It’s a bit dusty, and the fans overhead make a clicking sound that we’ve never bothered to fix. We spend our time dusting the covers and helping people find what they need. It isn't a fancy bookstore where you sit and drink coffee. It’s a place to buy your books and move on. We open early to catch the morning crowd and stay open until the streetlights come on. It’s just a regular book house run by people who like being surrounded by paper and ink.
