Our work happens on the second floor at Survey 31/1. It’s a plain building. We focus on linear LED lighting here. It’s basically long strips and fixtures that go into ceilings or under cabinets. The space is mostly long tables where we can lay out the tracks and check the wiring. It’s quiet work for the most part. We don’t have a big sign out front, so you have to know where you're going to find us. The floor gets dusty from all the packaging material, but we try to keep the light components clean. It’s just a few of us here. We handle the assembly and make sure the lengths are cut right. Sometimes the measurements get tricky, so we have to double-check everything twice. It’s not a glamorous job, just repetitive and detailed. We eat lunch together near the window and then get back to it. Survey 31/1 isn't the busiest area, which is fine. It lets us focus on getting the linear lights packed up and ready. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit steep, so we usually just stay up here once we arrive. We don't have a fancy showroom. If someone wants to see the linear lights, we just pull a strip out of a box and plug it in right there on the workbench. It’s a bit messy with wire scraps, but that’s just part of the process. We don’t have a receptionist. You just walk in and one of us will look up. It’s a hands-on type of place. We spend a lot of time checking the color temperature because if they don't match, the project looks wrong. We aren't experts in everything, but we know these linear strips.
