The Peenya Industrial Area is a massive place, and we are right in the middle of it on 13th Cross. Our building at 485 is in the 4th Phase, which is a busy section with plenty of other factories and warehouses nearby. It’s the kind of place where you definitely need a sturdy pair of shoes because there’s always something going on. We handle a lot of the day-to-day tasks that keep a pharma-related business running. The morning shift starts early, usually when the air is still a bit cool. We spend a lot of time on the floor, making sure the machines are running and the packaging looks right. It’s not the quietest environment, but we’re used to the background noise of the fans and the heavy equipment. Most of us have been here for years, so we’ve seen the area change quite a bit. There’s a small canteen where we gather for breaks, mostly talking about family or the commute home. The 13th Cross can get pretty backed up with trucks in the evening, so we try to time our departures carefully. It’s a practical, hands-on type of job. We don’t have much in the way of fancy office furniture; it’s more about functionality and having enough room to move the pallets around. It’s just how things are in Peenya—working hard and keeping things moving.
