Reliance Communications

You can find us at No.121 on Dickenson Road. We are up on the 5th floor of a building called The Estate. Being on the 5th floor means we spend a decent amount of time waiting for the elevators, which can be a bit slow during the morning rush. Once you get up here, it’s a typical office setup for Reliance Communications. There are rows of desks and a lot of wires tucked under the floor tiles. We spend most of our time on the phone or looking at computer screens. It gets a bit loud when everyone is talking at once, but that is just the nature of the job. From the windows, you can see a bit of the city, which is nice when you need a break from staring at spreadsheets. The air conditioning is usually set a bit too cold, so most of us keep a sweater at our desks even when it's hot outside. We don’t have fancy paintings on the walls or anything like that. It’s a practical space. We have a small area for lunch where the microwave is always in use. People come and go throughout the day, and we just keep things moving as best as we can. It’s a steady environment, and we’ve all gotten used to the particular quirks of this building and the way the lights flicker sometimes in the hallway.
