Red Bamboo Shoots

Red Bamboo Shoots is located over on 8th Main, right at the corner of 12th Cross. If you know the Nrupathunga Road area, you’ve probably passed by our door at number 1. We’re tucked away a bit, but people seem to find us. We started this place because we wanted to share some of the food we grew up with. It's not a big fancy restaurant with white tablecloths. It’s more of a place where you can just sit down and eat without any fuss. The kitchen is small, so when we get a rush, things can take a minute. We appreciate when people are patient with us. Sometimes the delivery bikes take up all the space out front, which can be a bit of a headache for the neighbors. We try to keep things simple and honest. The menu hasn't changed much since we opened. We know what we’re good at and we stick to that. It’s a lot of work keeping a place like this running on Nrupathunga Road. There's always something that needs fixing or a supplier who’s late with a delivery. But we enjoy the people who come in. We get a mix of office workers and families from around the 12th Cross area. It feels like a real part of the community here. Nothing too special, just a local eatery trying to do right by the customers who walk through the door.
