Ravi Furnitures. We are located at No.18 on Begur Road in Bommanahalli. It’s a busy stretch of road and there’s always something going on outside our door. The shop has been here for a good while and we’ve seen a lot of people move into the area. We have all the usual stuff like wardrobes, tables, and wooden frames. The shop isn't huge, so we have to be careful how we arrange things so people can actually see the furniture. Sometimes it feels like we are playing a game of Tetris with the sofas. The floor is just plain tiles and we keep a fan running all day because it gets stuffy. Bommanahalli is a fast-growing place and we try to keep up with what people are looking for. We don't have a big team, just me and a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting and the deliveries. Most of our business comes from people living in the apartments around Begur Road. They see our sign when they are stuck in traffic and decide to stop by. We don't have any fancy sales pitches or brochures. We just show you what the wood is and how it’s made. It’s a local shop for local people. The rain sometimes leaks a little near the front door if it’s a heavy storm, but we just mop it up and keep going. We close on some public holidays but usually we are here from morning until late evening.
