Ravi Auto Traders

We’ve been here at Sri Lakshmi Complex for a long time now. It’s a busy spot in Kalasipalyam, especially on Am Road where the traffic never really stops. My father started this and now I spend most of my days behind the counter. We have lots of parts stacked up to the ceiling and sometimes it’s hard to find exactly what a customer needs right away. But we know where everything is eventually. People come from all over the city because they know we are here in this extension. It gets dusty with all the construction and the buses passing by, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We open up early, sweep the front, and start taking orders. Most of our regulars are mechanics who don’t have much time to talk. They just want their parts and to get back to work. We try to keep things simple here. The shop isn't fancy or anything. There are old ledgers on the desk and a small stool for people to sit if they have to wait. If we don’t have something, we usually know who does. It's a small community of traders on this street. We’ve seen the buildings change around us but we stay right here at 21/6A. It’s a lot of work handling inventory every day. Sometimes the deliveries are late and we have to explain that to the customers. That's just part of the business.
