Rashmi Electricals And Electronics occupies spaces 60 and 61 over on Begur Road in Hongasandra. It’s a pretty lively area of Bangalore, so there is never a dull moment around here. Our shop is filled with all sorts of gadgets, wires, and lighting fixtures. We have those long tube lights hanging from the ceiling and boxes of switches stacked up on the floor. It can feel a bit cramped when we get a big delivery, but we manage to navigate around the piles. Most of the people who come in are locals living in the apartments nearby who need a new fan or a replacement bulb. We also get some of the electricians who work in the neighborhood coming in for bulk supplies. We spend most of the day behind the counter, testing bulbs to make sure they work before the customer takes them home. It’s a lot of talking and explaining how different parts fit together. The traffic on Begur Road can be a real headache in the evenings, but it also brings a lot of walk-in business our way. We don't have a fancy website or a big team. It’s just a few of us making sure people get what they need for their homes. We keep the shop open late most nights because that's when people realize they have a blown fuse or a broken switch and need help quickly.
