Raj Times Srinivasnagar

You can find us on the 80Ft Road over in Srinivas Nagar. Raj Times has been on this corner for quite a while. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with glass cases. We spend a lot of time looking through small magnifying glasses. The street outside is always loud with bikes and buses going past. Sometimes the whole shop rattles a bit when a big truck goes by. It’s just me and one assistant most days. We have clocks on the walls that all tick at slightly different times, so there’s always a bit of background noise. The light is okay near the front window, but we have some extra lamps for the detailed stuff. People stop by to drop things off and then come back a few days later. We have a small ledger where we write everything down by hand. It’s a bit messy but we know where everything is. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first opened, with new buildings going up everywhere. But our shop stays pretty much the same. We have a small bench out front where the older neighbors sometimes sit and talk for a bit. It’s a simple living. We don’t do any advertising. People just know we are here on the 80Ft Road. We open at ten and stay until the market starts to quiet down at night. We always make sure to lock everything up tight before heading home after a long day of work.
