Raavela Interiors is tucked away over here in Channasandra, right near Whitefield in Bangalore. You can find us at the A.G.Veena building, which is part of Nanajanna’s property. It’s a busy spot with all the traffic coming through this side of town, but we’ve managed to get our work done here for a good while now. The workshop gets pretty dusty with all the wood we cut and the sanding that goes on throughout the day. Usually, there are three or four of us around, trying to figure out how to fit a kitchen or fix up some wardrobes for the new apartments popping up nearby. It’s not a quiet place, that’s for sure. You’ll hear the saw running and maybe someone listening to the radio while they paint. We started out small and stayed that way, mostly because we like knowing who we are working for. Most days involve a lot of measuring and remeasuring because walls are never as straight as they look. Sometimes things don’t go exactly to plan on the first try, so we just stay late and get it sorted. We aren't big on fancy titles or big office chairs. Most of our time is spent on the floor or out at a site. If you stop by, you'll probably see us with sawdust on our clothes or some glue on our hands. It's just the way it is when you're making things every day.
