Our office is over in Langford Town, specifically on the 2nd Floor of the ‘A’ Wing in Divyashree Chambers on O'Shaughnessey Road. It’s a decent building, though the stairs can be a bit of a climb if the lift is busy or acting up. We’ve got a fair amount of space here for the Q-Cells team to work. It’s not one of those ultra-modern offices with bean bags and glass walls you see in magazines. We have regular desks, some slightly uncomfortable chairs, and a lot of blue folders stacked up. We work on various systems and there’s usually a lot of discussion going on around the big wooden table in the middle of the room. We drink a lot of coffee to stay awake during the long afternoons when it gets quiet. The view from the window is just the street below, which is almost always full of cars and bikes. We don't really do the whole corporate jargon thing or have fancy meetings. We just talk like normal people and try to figure out the best way to handle the projects we have on hand. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we all complain about it together, but then we get back to our tasks. It’s a mix of different people here, some who’ve been here since the start and some newer faces. We try to keep a relaxed atmosphere where you can just ask a question without feeling silly. It’s a practical place.
